Dr. Edwards is a physician, researcher, and author. He is a staff psychiatrist in the integrated behavioral health program at Parkland Hospital and an adjunct assistant professor of psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical School, where he teaches and mentors fellows and students in the forensic psychiatry fellowship. He completed his adult psychiatry training at Stanford University School of Medicine and his fellowship training at the Psychiatry and Law Service at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles in leading medical journals and has authored textbooks. He is co-editor of the “Study Guide to the DSM-5-TR,” published by the American Psychiatric Association.
