Updates in Hospital Medicine Southern Conference (RP2710A)
This inaugural hybrid (in-person and live-streamed) CME conference will provide hospital medicine physicians, advanced practice providers, residents, medical students, and other inpatient care team members with practical updates in evidence-based inpatient medicine, patient safety, quality improvement, medical education, leadership, systems-based care, diagnostic excellence, and emerging applications of artificial intelligence. Through didactic presentations, interactive discussions, case-based learning, panel sessions, structured debates, breakout sessions, and poster presentations, participants will explore strategies to improve clinical practice, enhance team-based care, strengthen leadership and teaching skills, and improve patient outcomes across diverse inpatient settings.
The conference will be held Monday through Wednesday and will feature an optional pre-conference skills lab on Sunday at the UT Southwestern Simulation Center. Limited to 40 participants, this add-on experience will provide hands-on simulation-based training and opportunities to practice procedural, clinical, and communication skills in a small-group learning environment with expert faculty feedback.
