Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Identify antiplatelet therapy options indicated for patients following myocardial infarction or percutaneous coronary interventions.
  • Assess the benefits and the risks associated with antiplatelet therapy for these indications.
  • Identify those most likely to benefit as well those who are poor candidates for treatment.
  • Determine treatment duration and methods to reduce risks associated with treatment.
