This presentation will cover the indications for proton pump inhibitor use, address issues related to PPI overuse, and discuss potential long-term adverse effects of proton pump inhibitors.

  • Understand the potential long-term adverse effects of proton pump inhibitors.
  • Understand ways to discuss risks and benefits of proton pump inhibitors and how to step-down PPI therapy when needed.
