EM2209D "IMPACT: Women Changing the Face of Medicine" (IM GR-091622)
Purpose and Overview
This lecture will update the audience on the progress of women in medicine. The effect of the increasing trends of greater numbers of women in health care has positively affected the outcomes of patients. Over the past 30 years, key systematic interventions by the NIH, CDC and FDA to create offices focusing on women's health has positively affected women's careers in medicine. On the campus of UT Southwestern, evidence of this trend is clear in our faculty, trainees, students and leadership.
Target Audience
UT Southwestern faculty, fellows, residents and medical students, community physicians, nurse clinicians, physician assistants and nurses.
