Dr. Podeszwa is a native of Detroit, Michigan.  He attended the University of Michigan and earned his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed and AO/ASIF International Fellowship in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Bern, Inselspital.  Dr. Podeszwa completed his pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 2001 under the direction of Dr. Tony Herring.  He is an associate professor in the department of orthopaedics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
