Purpose and Overview
To update the audience on the epidemiology, pathogenesis, and treatment of kidney stone disease.
Target Audience
UT Southwestern faculty, fellows, residents and medical students, community physicians, nurse clinicians, physician assistants and nurses.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Recognize the changing epidemiology of kidney stone disease.
- Understand the mechanisms underlying the most commonly encountered types of kidney stones.
- Be familiar with new treatment options to reduce recurrence of kidney stones.
