Transcanal endoscopic ear surgery (TEES) is a recent development in the management of temporal bone pathology. Cadaveric lab dissections, lectures, panel discussions, case reviews, as well as question and answer sessions will be the educational modalities used in this course. Course participants should be able to identify clinically relevant anatomic temporal bone landmarks with the use of the endoscope. Course attendees will recognize the advantages and disadvantages of TEES as compared to traditional microscopic approaches to the temporal bone. Course attendees will be able to demonstrate specific TEES techniques using a cadaveric temporal bone model.

Target Audience

This course is developed for currently practicing physicians and residents that are interested in the latest techniques involved in transcanal endoscopic ear surgery.

3) Discuss the Indications and contraindications for endoscopic ear surgery

4) Illustrate specific endoscopic ear surgery techniques for managing temporal bone pathology
