The annual conferences, UT Southwestern Neurotherapeutics Update and UT Southwestern Stroke Symposium, are combining efforts this year for a 2-day live CME activity aimed at neuroscience professionals and stroke advocates, including physicians, nurses and therapists that will review current advances and current trends in neurology and stroke care.

Target Audience

This CME activity is designed for Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Nurses, Physical Therapists, Allied Health Professionals, and other healthcare professionals that specialize in neuroscience and stroke care, who are interested in learning about the most current treatment modalities and best management practices, in order to improve patient care and health outcomes.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants shall be able to:

  • Investigate novel diagnostic and therapeutic updates in treating MS to improve long-term mobility.
  • Examine current management approaches in treating tardive dyskinesia.
  • Identify recommended treatment options for management of narcolepsy patients.
  • Explore recent developments in the diagnosis and treatment of spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH).
  • Recognize the impact of the DLB Consortium’s revised recommendations distinguishing clinical features and diagnostic biomarkers.
  • Discuss the benefits, risks and legal challenges of utilizing medical marijuana as a treatment option for neurologic patients.
  • Compare and contrast the pediatric and adult presentations of Moyamoya Disease to select best disease management options for each patient.
