Overall teaching objective(s) for activity:
Comprehend common issues in General Internal Medicine.
Review primary care providers’ use and satisfaction with key functions in the EHR.
- Review how primary care providers perceive the HER with respect to ease-of-use, usefulness, impact on provider-patient communication, and impact on performing clinical task.
Specific learning objectives for this session:
- Provide evidence-based overview of pathophysiology and pathoanatomy for common conditions of the hand and wrist for the general internist
- Provide evidence-based guidelines to strategize appropriate non-surgical treatment for conditions
- Provide thresholds for referral for consideration of surgical consultation for the highlighted conditions
