The Ken Altshuler, MD Grand Rounds in Psychiatry provides weekly continuing medical education for all faculty, residents, trainees, and other mental health providers within the UT Southwestern department of psychiatry, as well as affiliated departments. Grand Rounds provides a forum for participants to be briefed on up-to-date topics within psychiatric research and practice, including ethics. Prominent experts in Psychiatry research and practice as well as local UTSW faculty will present and discuss this information.
Target Audience
This activity is appropriate for faculty, residents, trainees, and other mental health providers within the UT Southwestern department of psychiatry, as well as affiliated departments.
Learning Objectives
- Identify at least one way to implement a new, evidence-based treatment approach for a psychiatric condition.
- Identify at least one way to integrate professional input within a multidisciplinary team for the benefit of the patient.
- Identify at least one new area within neuroscience research and apply these findings to clinical care.
