146 Otolaryngology Skull Base Grand Rounds: "Technological Advancements in Radiation Oncology for Skull Base Tumors" (101518)
The surgical removal of benign and malignant tumors involving the base of the skull often creates a communication between the subarachnoid space and the paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx, and therefore may place the patient at risk for the development of a cerebrospinal fluid fistula and meningitis post operatively. This lecture will improve the ability of those in attendance to prevent this complication when possible, and to manage those fistulae that will inevitably occur
