225 HIV Lecture Series: " Ancillary Support Services and Resources in HIV Care " (012022)
The HIV Curriculum Series targets healthcare providers to provide high-quality, evidence-based, comprehensive medical care to patients with HIV/AIDS in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The presentations cover multiple topics and are intended to educate physicians, as well as fellows and residents, medical students, nurses, case managers, social workers, pharmacists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. The long-term goals are increasing access to care for HIV patients by educating primary care providers and developing specialists at all levels of providing health care. The Series starts with basic concepts of treating HIV patients, including diagnosis and management of opportunistic infections, and expands to more specialized topics focusing on recent research. Topics include pathogenesis, opportunistic infections, difficult ART management cases, and other medical and psychosocial complications in persons living with HIV.
