236 Hematology and Oncology Grand Rounds: "Dissecting Acquired Cross-Resistane in Small Cell Lung Cancer"(031023)
The Hematology and Oncology Grand Rounds seminar series will provide monthly clinical and research updates on current works of faculty and fellows in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. In addition, learners will have the opportunity to interact for a unique educational experience. Unlike other seminars this one will focus on the interests and projects of our specific division and provide an opportunity to hear from invited guest speakers outside of the division. Internal Guest speakers approved by the course director and will give cutting edge seminars on new and exciting developments in hematology and medical oncology.
Target Audience
The target audience will be board certified hematologists and oncologists and clinical fellows in training, including MD and non-MD PA/APN/RN trainees, seeking to learn about important clinical and translational research advances in hematology and medical oncology.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze and discuss the diversity in research efforts across the Division and Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center through multi-disciplinary engagement with other experts
- Identify key take-aways for incorporation into current research projects and develop new ideas for inquiry
- Identify and discuss non-medical barriers to effective and equitable care
