The purpose of the Dallas Internist Club lecture series is to incorporate adult learning principles and utilize educational research in learner oriented activities to promote learning and continuing professional development. Also, to enhance the knowledge , professional performance, and interpersonal skills of physicians by delivering evidence-based, clinically relevant medical information and up to date research topics. The course will consist of didactic lectures from the medical school faculty, private practitioners, visiting professors, and other professionals whose knowledge and background may enrich the daily practice of Internal and Primary Care Medicine. 

Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians engaged in the practice of Internal Medicine. It will also provide valuable information for any physician with an interest in Primary Care or general medicine seeking to stay abreast of current events in the field of Internal Medicine.

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

1. Identify and manage the diseases reviewed.
2. Implement recent developments and advances in their daily practice of Internal Medicine.
