Radiology Trainee Research Day 2025 (RP2504F)
Overview
Radiology Trainee Research Day is an avenue for the current trainees in the Department of Radiology working on Radiology-related projects to share, present, and discuss their ongoing projects and innovative ideas. This provides the current state-of-the-art research and development activities to educate physicians and other clinicians such that they can be incorporated into clinical practice as needed. These oral presentations will cover a variety of basic science topics, several prospective, retrospective, and translation studies carried out in the Department of Radiology, which provide concrete examples of experimental design, statistical analyses, and hypothesis driven research. The trainees' presentations will be followed by a keynote lecture from an invited speaker, Maryellen L. Giger, PhD, Department of Radiology, University of Chicago. Dr Giger is the world-renowned expert and visionary of computer-aided diagnosis. She has spearheaded research in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning, in the areas of breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, brain injury, lupus, bone diseases, and COVID-19. Trainees, Physicians, Scientists, and Researchers with an interest in the development and application of recent research findings in the field of radiology should attend.
