Learning Objectives

1.    Review key clinical features of various myopathies and differentiate immune from genetic myopathies to facilitate accurate diagnosis and guide evidence-based pharmacologic treatment strategies
2.    Identify and differentiate the clinical presentations of chorea and dyskinesia to improve diagnostic accuracy and discuss the treatment options.
3.    Discuss applications of anti-amyloid therapies and effective management of complications in Alzheimer disease
4.    Describe the various anti-seizure medications and discuss current evidence-based treatment strategies, including emerging therapies, to optimize individualized patient care
5.    Discuss transverse myelitis and review the appropriate management based on underlying etiology
6.    Review unique risk factors for stroke in women and identify appropriate management strategies
7.    Describe diagnostic approach and treatment options for treatable cerebellar ataxias such as FA
8.    Identify and distinguish differences between treatable cerebellar ataxias and other ataxic syndromes
9.    Describe appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies for postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) 
10.  Discuss the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms related to the autonomic nervous system in POTS 
11.   Identify and distinguish differences between POTS and mimics such as orthostatic intolerance without tachycardia and long-COVID syndrome
12.   Describe appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies for functional neurological disorders (FND) 
13.   Discuss the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms related to FND
