Interventional Cardiology Complications Conference (RP2612D)

This in-person, one-day conference will focus on strategies for the preventing, recognizing, managing and recovering from complications related to cardiac procedures. Designed by the team for the team to offer a program that provides an engaging, face-to-face learning experience. Through case discussion, expert faculty guidance, and practical complication-management strategies, participants will strengthen decision-making, documentation, escalation, and promote team-based strategies to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes during high-risk interventional cardiology scenarios.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify potential complications associated with cardiology and interventional cardiology procedures.

  4. Discuss the psychosocial impact of procedural complications on physicians and healthcare teams and identify strategies to support well-being. 
  5. Encourage a nonjudgmental culture that promotes open discussion of complications and continuous learning.
