Alliance for Medical Management Education: Financial Management of Healthcare Organizations (AMME-120217)
This curriculum is designed to provide doctors with the key business and interpersonal skills they need to assume a more effective role in the leadership and management of healthcare organizations and in the delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care.
Physicians who have committed to healthcare leadership and management as an important element of their professional career and who have been accepted by the Admissions Committee of the Alliance for Medical Management Education.
At the conclusion of this 4-day medical management class, participants should be better able to:
- assess the liquidity, profitability and solvency of a healthcare organization
- make healthcare spending decisions that create economic value
- assess the economic value of a medical practice or medical joint venture
- create more viable, efficient healthcare organizations that are better able to provide quality patient care
Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and The University of Texas at Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management. The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation: The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 32 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The University of Texas at Dallas designates the award of four graduate academic credit hours for those physicians satisfactorily completing the course requirements.
