This series is designed to provide participants with educational information in basic and clinical advances relevant
 to clinical endocrinology. Sessions will include lectures, case studies, and question and answer opportunities.

 

Target Audience

UT Southwestern Faculty, Fellows, Residents and Community Physicians, specializing in diabetes and
metabolism.

 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1.    Discuss emerging therapies for diabetes mellitus and endocrine diseases.
2.    Describe advances in endocrinology with respect to mechanisms of action of hormones, endocrine cell physiology, diagnostic tests, medical therapy and surgical therapies.
3.    Apply current national standards for management of glucose, blood pressure and lipids.
