To provide ID faculty, fellows and other clinical staff current clinical ID cases that are being seen in the UTSW affiliated hospitals.  These cases illustrate aspects of diagnosis as well as current updates in therapeutics for particular infections

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

1.   Identify and describe new trends in HIV medicine, transplant infectious disease,  and global health-related infectious diseases
2.    To identify and describe new trends and policies in hospital epidemiology, infection prevention and control,  and antibiotic stewardship
3.     To identify and describe evolving changes in infectious disease diagnostics, therapeutics, and management
4.     To develop skills in creating a differential diagnosis for an unknown case presentation in infectious diseases
