197 Moncrief Survivorship Care Rounds (110117)

Improved screening, diagnosis and treatment of cancer are contributing to the growing number of cancer survivors. The purpose of the Survivorship Care Rounds will be to provide physicians, residents, clinical fellows and other interested individuals with an understanding of the key components of survivorship care and the unique medical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of cancer survivors. Faculty members from Simmons Cancer Center and members of the multi-disciplinary team from Moncrief Cancer Institute’s Survivorship Program will be available to discuss and disseminate this knowledge.

Target Audience

The target audience for this program is physicians, NP, PA, nurses, counselors, dieticians, social workers, psychologists, therapists, genetic councelors and pastoral care. 

Learning Objectives

1. Identify key components of Survivorship Care.
2. Recognize the unique medical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of cancer survivors in the community.
3. Utilize shared knowledge to provide optimal multi-disciplinary care to cancer survivors.
