JS1442 Terrell State Hospital Grand Rounds: Depression in Late Life (040114)
These Grand Rounds presentations are provided to make physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and professional staff aware of the latest developments in various areas of psychiatry and medicine. The health care professional will update their clinical skills and be provided a knowledge base that will enhance the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. List DSM5 criteria for the diagnosis of major depression.
2. Utilize appropropriate clinical testing to differentiate the cognitive impact of depression in the elderly from other causes of mental decline.
3. Treat these depressive disorders in elderly patients using optimal drug therapies.
