These Grand Round presentations are provided to make physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and professional staff aware of the latest developments in various areas of psychiatry and medicine. The health care professional will update their clinical skills and be provided a knowledge base that will enhance the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, LPC's, chaplains, and all other interested TSH employees.
At the conclusion of the activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Describe the history of Excited Delirium.
2. Identify the common features seen in Excited Delirium.
3. Discuss treatment priorities in patients with suspected Excited Delirium.
4. Discuss the history of excited delirium, as well as how to identify it and what treatment options are available.
