JS1442 Terrell State Hospital Grand Rounds: Update on Frontotemporal Dementia (060314)
These Grand Rounds presentations are provided to make physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and professional staff aware of the latest developments in various areas of psychiatry and medicine. The health care professional will update their clinical skills and be provided a knowledge base that will enhance the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be able to:
1. Describe the clinical presentation of behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia including typical age of onset, behavioral features and current diagnostic criteria.
2. Understand the variety of pathologies that underlie frontotemporal dementia.
3. Understand the genetic implications of frontotemporal dementia and the availability of genetic testing.
