Improving Outcomes in Confronting the Epidemic of Diabetes and Obesity: Latino Cultural Insights (NP1305D)

New Orleans, LA US
May 10, 2014
The need for this education comes from the rapid population growth in ethnic populations and the increasing prevalence of diabetes in the Latino population, as well as the general population of the United States – it is an epidemic of a very high magnitude. To this end, we have designed this series to address the needs of clinicians with diverse patient populations in their practice. We have speakers that are dedicated and at the forefront of clinical and academic thinking in diabetes treatment, from UT Southwestern, as well as other prestigious academic medical centers. To enhance your learning experience, and to make it more enjoyable, we have designed the activity to be highly interactive by use of an audience response system.

Target Audience

All clinicians who manage patients with diabetes, with added emphasis on Latino populations.
