Point of Care Ultrasound for Physicians (RP1708B) (041917)
This course is designed to cover Point Of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) for the emergency physician. It is designed for both the physician who has not had prior experience in POCUS and/or the physician who wishes to review and update their current skills. At the end of this course, the physician should be able to outline the basics of ultrasound, describe the indications and limitations of POCUS, and demonstrate hands-on knowledge in the acquisition and interpretation of clinically appropriate studies for diagnosis and management of the emergency department patient. The faculty teaching this course will focus on learning through didactic lectures, observation, and a practice feedback model.
