Physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, athletic trainers and other health care professionals who care for sport-related conditions and injuries should attend to improve their ability to counsel patients and families as well as prevent and care for these conditions.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe current recommendations for mitigation of Covid-19 transmission risk associated with sport-participation.
  2. Discuss current consensus and UIL guidelines for return to sports after Covid-19 infection.
  3. Identify which athletes require medical clearance prior to return to sport participation.
