Purpose and Content
Join us to learn how motion capture is being used to learn about injury prevention in young and growing athletes. Our team will introduce you to the terminology as well as projects that are underway for understanding injury risk in runners, basketball players and more athletes

Target Audience
Physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, athletic trainers and other health care professionals who care for sport-related conditions and injuries should attend to improve their ability to counsel patients and families as well as prevent and care for these conditions.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Define motion analysis, motion capture and movement science.
- Describe the application of motion capture for injury prevention in young athletes.
- Describe objective measures used for running analysis in young runners.
- Discuss the latest evidence for using 2D movement screens and how they correlate to 3D risk factors.
