ANPA's Advancing Patient Care: Innovation, Research, and Strategic Investment (JS2504E)
This 2-day live conference will describe strategies for designing effective and equitable health care and services in low resource environments through didactic lectures, interactive Q&A sessions, and in-depth panel discussions. Topics will cover a wide range of medical fields, including: preventive medicine, pediatrics, hematology, psychiatry, sleep medicine, nephrology, transplant surgery, dental surgery, cardiology, radiology, infectious disease, medical oncology, and neurology. In addition to delivering value and equity across the continuum of care using contemporary standards, attendees will learn innovative ways for strengthening knowledge and capacity in their healthcare systems, effective health communication strategies for patient engagement, and strategies for adapting standards of care for delivery in low resource contexts. Multiple panel discussions will focus on multidisciplinary teams in collaborative care and the panelists represent medicine, pharmacy, and nursing. The panels will all feature discussion among the professionals, and will emphasize multidisciplinary collaboration in the delivery of care, and in medical education and capacity-building work. In effect, this conference will prepare attendees for effective roles in healthcare models that focus on effectiveness, population outcomes, value and equity in health services. Participants of this conference are highly motivated to teach and provide care for the underserved, and their social networks and global outreach positions them for pivotal roles in transforming healthcare in underserved regions.
Target Audience
This conference is designed for an interprofessional and multidisciplinary audience, including physicians, dentists, advanced practitioners, nurses and healthcare professionals of all levels and specialty areas involved in the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, or management of human illnesses.
