This series is designed to provide continuing education for emergency medicine physicians and staff. This series is intended to deliver education to our target audience using non-formal structure that allows more flexibility and options in methods, experiential, reinforcement, and integrative.

Target Audience

Practicing Emergency Medicine faculty and community physicians, residents in training, fellows, medical students, nurses, and other interested health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be able to:

  1. Implement an evidence-based diagnostic algorithm for the injured extremity.
  2. Recognize and formulate a treatment plan for patients with acute compartment syndrome.
  3. Understand the pitfalls associated with the currently available diagnostic modalities utilized for extremity injury.
