Patrice is a Quality Professional accomplished in design and implementation of comprehensive continuous process improvement in support of business objectives across multiple entities. She is skilled in cross-functional team based collaboration to ensure and sustain compliance, increase operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction. Her many years of experience in quality have been in the health care, education and manufacturing business sectors. Her current position is Director, quality, Safety, and Outcomes Education at University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center responsible for quality improvement education and project guide for academic affairs, health system and business affairs. Prior position at UTSW was Director, Quality in the office of the Chief Quality Officer. Previous positions include Quality Systems Manager, Process Improvement Manager, Quality Manager at Abbott Laboratories, and Quality Lab mentor for the Abbott Fund (Tanzania).
Patrice is a speaker/presenter at institution(UTSW) and national conferences (American Society for Quality). Patrice is a Baldrige National Quality Award Master examiner (over 16 years) and Texas Quality Award Fellow and active on multiple committees for the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Her competencies include Lean six Sigma, lean, quality training development, inspection and audit administration, risk management, strategic planning, customer satisfaction, corrective action plans, document and change control systems.
Patrice has an MBA in Quality and Industrial Management, a BS in Medical Technology and certified as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and an AS in Biomedical Electronics. Her certifications include Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE - ASQ) and Quality Auditor 9CQA - ASQ).
