Satyam Sarma, MD
Satyam (Tom) Sarma, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. His clinical and research interests focus on treating patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction or HFpEF. He has a strong background in clinical physiology and has performed several small clinical trials testing various therapies, both pharmacologic and exercise based, in improving exercise intolerance in patients. In addition he is interested in the pathways that are involved in the transition from obesity and metabolic disorders to HFpEF.
