Shanan Munoz, MD
Shanan Brinson Munoz graduated from University of Oklahoma Medical School and completed internship in Internal Medicine there as well. She then did her Neurology Residency & Fellowship in Neurophysiology at UT Southwestern. She was in private practice for many years before returning to UT as a faculty member in 2013. She has participated in numerous research trials for MS, NMO, epilepsy, & migraine for over 20 years.
She has been a speaker for educational events sponsored by the MS Society & the MSAA. She gave a lecture this year on Update on MS at the annual Texas Neurological Society Meeting. She has been named a Texas Monthly Super Doctor every year since 2008. She enjoys forming relationships with her patients and their families and laments the depersonalization of medicine that has been occurring.
