This series of classes is designed for advanced level mental health practitioners at a post-licensure level. The 6-hour Saturday classes will present the latest information in psychiatric treatment, coupled with hands-on practice and direct observation. All classes will be taught by expert faculty to a maximum of 25 participants who wish to advance their professional practice through the acquisition and mastery of very specific skills. Participants can register for and attend a single class, or the entire series.

Instructors will discuss evidence-based practices related to psychological and psychopharmacological treatments for individuals with ASD and comorbid emotional and behavioral concerns.

Target Audience

This series is designed for advanced (typically postdoctoral) level mental health scientists.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify and describe evidence-based psychological treatments for challenging behaviors in individuals with ASD  
  2. Identify and describe evidence-based psychopharmacological interventions for individuals with ASD    
  3. Practice strategies to promote successful treatment interactions when working with individuals with ASD who are exhibiting comorbid emotional and behavioral concerns.
