Psychiatry Master Class Series: Unlocking Mental Illness - Autism Spectrum Disorders: Managing Challenging Behaviors (Oct 3, 2020)
This series of classes is designed for advanced level mental health practitioners at a post-licensure level. The 6-hour Saturday classes will present the latest information in psychiatric treatment, coupled with hands-on practice and direct observation. All classes will be taught by expert faculty to a maximum of 25 participants who wish to advance their professional practice through the acquisition and mastery of very specific skills. Participants can register for and attend a single class, or the entire series.

- Identify and describe evidence-based psychological treatments for challenging behaviors in individuals with ASD
- Identify and describe evidence-based psychopharmacological interventions for individuals with ASD
- Practice strategies to promote successful treatment interactions when working with individuals with ASD who are exhibiting comorbid emotional and behavioral concerns.
