Sari Bar, D.O.
Dr. Sari Bar is a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician and an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at UT Southwestern. She received her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and continued her pediatric residency and fellowship training at Northwell Health Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New York. Dr. Bar moved back to her native state of Texas and accepted a position at UT Southwestern in 2017. She is board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Bar is the Medical Director of the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics clinic and Down Syndrome clinic at Children’s Health in Dallas.
Dr. Bar’s clinical work entails assessment of children with a variety of medical, behavioral and neurodevelopmental conditions from birth through 18 years of age. Dr. Bar’s specific clinical interests are in the diagnosis and management of complex ADHD, high-risk newborn follow up, and behavioral assessment of children with medical complexities.
Dr. Bar has a strong interest in resident education. She serves as the Developmental Behavioral Pediatric residency rotation-training director and mentors several medical students and residents with expressed interest in the field.
Dr. Bar has presented on a variety of developmental and behavioral topics both regionally and nationally. In addition, she serves on numerous committees on a regional and national level, including Texas Pediatric Society and The Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
