Dr. Lauren Cox is a licensed pediatric psychologist at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children’s Main Campus. She works primarily with the Rheumatology and Orthopedics departments to support the psychosocial functioning of patients and families. Dr. Cox is also involved in providing pain management services as part of the interdisciplinary medical team. She has a Master’s degree and PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS. She did her pre-doctoral internship/residency in pediatric and child clinical psychology at the Texas Child Study Center and Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, TX. She then completed a research and clinical fellowship in pediatric psychology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society of Pediatric Psychology.
