Amy Hackmann, MD, FACS
Dr Amy Hackmann. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in complex heart surgery and cardiothoracic transplantation. Dr. Hackmann’s clinical focus includes cardiac surgery, especially heart and lung transplantation and temporary and permanent mechanical circulatory support. Her research interests include outcomes in ECMO patients and nursing education in mechanical circulatory support. She serves as faculty at ECMO cannulation and management courses across the United States.
