Jason Bartos, MD, PhD
Dr. Jason Bartos is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Minnesota where his clinical work includes interventional and critical care cardiology. He also serves as the medical director of the cardiovascular intensive care unit and associate director of the Center for Resuscitation Medicine. His research interests include resuscitation, advanced hemodynamic support, and recovery from cardiac arrest. This work has resulted in the development of protocols utilizing rapid transport from the field, peripherally placed veno-arterial ECMO, coronary reperfusion, and subsequent cardiac intensive care to improve outcomes for patients with refractory VT/VF cardiac arrest.
