2022 Pediatric Orthopedic Education Series - Idiopathic Scoliosis, Back Pain, DDH and Hip Exam

This webinar will review common musculoskeletal pathologies with an emphasis on virtual demonstrations for preforming a pediatric orthopedic examination.  These new skills will enable the practitioner to perform a detailed musculoskeletal examination, and combine that information with additional musculoskeletal learning to diagnose and either treat or refer the patient to a qualified pediatric orthopedist.

This is a seminar for pediatricians, family practitioners, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses and allied health professionals involved in the treatment of pediatric orthopedic cases.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify treatment options, risks and benefits of scoliosis patient management.
  • Discuss anatomical structures associated with pain.
  • Discuss differential diagnoses to consider in an evaluation of an adolescent with hip pain.
  • Recognize risk factors to assist with early recognition of developmental dysplasia in newborns.
