Amanda Fox, Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Management; MD, MPH
Dr. Amanda Fox is a Professor of Anesthesiology and the Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Fox’s research interests center on end organ injury in cardiac surgical patients. She is the PI of an NIH RO1 grant. Through that grant award Dr. Fox and her research collaborators are assessing key blood and urine biomarkers of acute kidney injury in cardiac surgery and how these biomarkers relate to long term postoperative adverse cardiovascular and renal events.
