Logan Schneider, M.D.
Dr. Schneider is an internationally recognized sleep and cognitive neurologist with a special interest in big data approaches - from genetics to machine learning - in order to understand sleep and brain health. He is Clinical Assistant Professor (affiliated) of Sleep Medicine at Stanford and co-director of the Stanford/VA Alzheimer’s Center (SVAC), which is one of 10 centers funded by the California Department of Public Health’s California Alzheimer’s Disease Centers (CADCs).
Following postdoctoral training in sleep, genetics, and big data with Dr. Emmanuel Mignot, Dr. Schneider began working with Drs. Ruth O’Hara and Makoto Kawai to build the sleep and cognition program at the Stanford CADC site. This program has served as the foundation for ongoing domestic and international research projects and collaborations exploring the link between healthy sleep and cognitive function.
Beyond his clinical and administrative roles, Dr. Schneider is a dedicated educator, serving on the American Academy of Neurology’s Graduate Education Subcommittee and overseeing the development of the next generation of neurology, psychiatry, and psychology trainees who pass through the center.
