<p>The focus of Dr. Ovechkin's work is the development of respiratory and cardiovascular rehabilitative strategies. At the Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center of the University of Louisville, KY, he oversees the development of physiologically based methods to evaluate the impact of invasive and non-invasive spinal neuromodulation on cardiovascular and respiratory functions. Dr. Ovechkin's clinical and scientific background relates to the development and implementation of physiologically-based methods to evaluate motor and autonomic regulation for use in clinical research and practice for participants with spinal cord injury and other diseases with a focus on pulmonary and cardiovascular rehabilitation.</p>
