Jonathan Rios, PhD

Dr. Jonathan Rios earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University and his doctorate degree in Genetics from Texas A&M University in College Station. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Rios joined the division of molecular genetics in 2011, is assistant professor in pediatrics, and holds secondary appointments in the McDermott Center for Human Growth and Development and department of orthopaedic surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Rios’ research includes the discovery of genes causing pediatric musculoskeletal and developmental conditions. He is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and the Texas Genetics Society, where he serves as a board member.
