Jochen Profit, MD, MPH

Dr. Profit graduated University of Freiburg Medical School in Germany and completed his Neonatology, Public Health, and Health Services Research training at Harvard. Since 2013, he has been on faculty at Stanford and is currently Associate Professor of Pediatrics, as well as Chief Quality Officer of the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative, a population-based network of 140 NICUs dedicated to quality excellence.
Dr. Profit’s research focuses on the optimization of quality of neonatal-perinatal health care delivery. For over a decade, his research has received continuous funding from the National Insitute of Health and other federal, foundation, and intramural sources. Dr. Profit has served on various national scientific and professional organizations, including the National Academy of Sciences and the National Institute of Health.
