Kara Hansen, LSCSW, LCSW, PMH-C
Kara is a behavioral therapist with Children’s Mercy Hospital, where she works in the Fetal Health Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She supports families during their pregnancies and postpartum, providing therapy and coordinating mental health care. Kara is passionate about perinatal mental health and received her certification from Postpartum Support International in 2019. Kara is also active in developing trauma-informed care practices within pediatric healthcare and is currently a PhD student at the University of Kansas.
