Meghan O'Neill, MD, FAAP
Meghan O’Neill, MD, FAAP, is a neurodevelopmental disabilities physician with special expertise in the care of individuals with Down syndrome. She completed medical training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, general pediatrics training at Lurie Children’s Hospital, and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is triple-board certified in general pediatrics, neurology with special certification in child neurology, and neurodevelopmental disabilities. Dr. O’Neill founded the Down syndrome clinic at Lurie Children’s Hospital (Northwestern) in Chicago and also has expertise in the comprehensive care of individuals with other forms of intellectual disability, autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and various neurogenetic disorders. Dr. O'Neill's academic work has focused on characterization of co-occurring neurologic, developmental, and behavioral conditions among children with Down syndrome.
