Daniel Barraez, MD, FACOG, FACS
Dr. Daniel Barraez is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist specializing in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He graduated from medical school in Venezuela in 2004 and completed his training at Albany Medical College in 2011. Dr. Barraez holds focus certification in minimally invasive gynecology surgery.
With a keen interest in complex gynecologic surgeries, particularly those involving large pathology and advanced-stage endometriosis, Dr. Barraez performs over 120 complex cases annually using minimally invasive techniques. He currently serves as the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at North Central Bronx Hospital and the Director of Ambulatory Women's Health Services.
Dr. Barraez is actively engaged in research, focusing on the impact of robotic surgery in public institutions. He is also dedicated to education, annually training residents in basic and advanced laparoscopic techniques.
In his free time, Dr. Barraez enjoys DIY projects.
