ANPA 2024: Maternal and Women's Health and Wellness in the 21st Century: Challenges and Opportunities (JS2406D)
This 2-day in-person conference program will address the contemporary challenges and opportunities for addressing maternal health and women's health through didactic lectures, interactive Q&A sessions, and in-depth panel discussions. Attendees will learn how public health strategies and healthcare delivery innovations are applied to address gaps and disparities in many areas, including: fertility, maternal morbidity and mortality, cancer detection and treatment, nutrition, skin care, mental health and work-life balance. Attendees will learn innovative ways for advancing women’s health through prevention and health promotion programs. Participants in this conference are highly motivated to teach and provide care to disadvantaged communities. Their social networks and global outreach positions them to address maternal and women’s health priorities across borders.
Target Audience
This conference is designed for an interprofessional and multidisciplinary audience, including physicians, dentists, advanced practitioners, nurses and healthcare professionals of all levels and specialty areas involved in the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, or management of human illnesses.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss the psychosocial and socioeconomic barriers to equity in maternal health outcomes
- Discuss innovations for improving pregnancy outcomes
- Identify and utilize new technologies, treatments, and delivery models to improve women’s health outcomes in cancer, chronic disease, mental health, and other areas
- Identify tools and techniques for enhancing women’s health awareness in the communities they serve
- Discuss how collaborative research leads to innovative programs that improve care utilization, effectiveness, and equity
- Organize networks of researchers and communities of practice to support and utilize discoveries in health technology, delivery models, and quality.
