Paula Brown, is a retired Nursing Director from North Central Bronx Hospital in Bronx, NY, she is a skilled and passionate nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing Education, with over 4 decades of experience in obstetrical nursing and 9 yrs.in perioperative nursing. Paula was dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and promoting healthcare excellence. Her commitment to nursing has been recognized through various awards including the Nurse Excellence Award for outstanding clinical performance, Nurse Excellence as clinical nurse educator, and Nursing Excellence for outstanding nurse leader.
Paula has 11 years of experience as a nurse educator at North Central Bronx Hospital, and 5 yrs. as an adjunct clinical instructor in Maternal Heatlh Nursing and Pediatric Nursing at Orange County Community College, in Middletown NY, and 2 years as clinical instructor in Obstetrical Nursing at Long Island University in Brooklyn NY. Paula also held the role of Associate Director and Director of Nursing for Maternal Child Services and Nursing Operations over the last 7yrs before her retirement in 2023.
As an active member of ANA, Paula remains at the forefront of nursing advancement for best practices. Beyond her career in nursing, in retirement she enjoys traveling and cruising. In her free time, she is an active member of the International Christian Fellowship Church, in Suffern NY, she facilitates and participates in Bible studies once a week and is a dedicated advocate for discipleship and evangelism in her community.
Paula is thrilled to speak at the conference and looks forward to engaging with fellow healthcare professionals to inspire innovation and collaboration in the field of nursing.
